Terms and conditions
In effect as of November 1, 2026 · This is a translation provided for convenience; the French version prevails.
1. Purpose
These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by La Crème des Bordelaises, a sole proprietorship of Pascaline Camblong, based in Montreal (Quebec): team building workshops, corporate Christmas parties, workshops for bachelorette parties, baby showers and adult birthdays, private baking classes at home and gift cards. They apply to the client, whether a company or an individual.
They are provided with every quote and, together with it, form the agreement between the parties. In case of contradiction, the specific terms of the quote prevail.
2. Quote and booking
Each service is the subject of a free, personalized quote, valid for 30 days. It specifies the date, time, location, number of participants, workshop content, total price and, where applicable, travel or room rental fees.
The booking becomes firm when:
- the client has accepted the quote and these terms in writing (signature, including electronic, or confirmation email);
- the payment provided for in section 3 has been received.
Until both conditions are met, the date is not reserved.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in Canadian dollars. No tax is currently charged. They include a pastry chef leading the workshop, equipment, ingredients (except for classes at home, where the client buys the ingredients from the list provided), aprons, setup, cleanup and the recipe sent by email.
Travel: included on the Island of Montreal. Outside the island, travel fees apply and are stated in the quote.
Room rental: on request, a room can be offered for rent. Its price depends on the venue and the size of the group; it is stated in the quote and added to the workshop price.
Payment: by Interac e-Transfer, bank transfer or credit card (secure online payment by Stripe), as stated in the quote. No fee is added for card payments.
Companies: payment on invoice may be granted to a company when the quote expressly provides for it; the quote then sets the due date. Any late payment bears interest at 12% per year from the due date.
4. Changes to the service
Any change request must be made in writing (email).
- More participants: accepted subject to availability, at the price per person set out in the quote.
- Fewer participants: cancelled spots are refunded if the request is received at least 14 days before the service.
- Date change: granted free of charge, once, if the request is received more than 30 days before the service and subject to availability. A later request is considered case by case.
5. Cancellation by the client
Any cancellation must be made in writing (email); the date of receipt determines the applicable period. Except in case of force majeure (section 6), La Crème des Bordelaises keeps the portion of the price shown below, which corresponds to the reserved date, purchases made and workshop preparation:
| Cancellation received | Amount kept | Amount refunded |
|---|---|---|
| More than 30 days before | $50 administration fee | The rest of the price paid |
| 30 to 15 days before | 50% of the price | 50% of the price |
| 14 to 8 days before | 75% of the price | 25% of the price |
| 7 days or less before | 100% of the price | None |
Refunds are made within 15 days of receiving the cancellation.
6. Cancellation by La Crème des Bordelaises and force majeure
If La Crème des Bordelaises cancels the service for its own reasons, all amounts paid are refunded in full within 15 days.
In case of force majeure (serious illness, accident, storm or dangerous road conditions, government decision…), the parties look for a new date. Failing agreement, all amounts paid are refunded in full, with no further compensation.
7. Gift cards
- Gift cards have no expiry date, in accordance with Quebec law.
- They entitle the holder to the service indicated (solo class or class for two). No supplement is charged when they are used, except travel fees outside the Island of Montreal.
- They can be given or transferred to another person.
- The date of the class is set by mutual agreement, subject to availability.
8. Location of the service
The client ensures that the venue is accessible at the agreed time and suitable for the workshop: enough space, tables, a water source, electricity and, for classes at home, an oven. A delay or unavailability of the venue not caused by La Crème des Bordelaises does not extend the length of the workshop.
9. Allergies and diets
The client reports any allergy or special diet no later than 7 days before the service, so the recipe can be adapted where possible. Workshops take place in an environment where gluten, eggs, milk, tree nuts and peanuts, among others, are handled: the complete absence of traces cannot be guaranteed.
10. Liability and insurance
Each party is liable for the damage it causes through its own fault. La Crème des Bordelaises is not responsible for the loss or theft of participants' personal belongings. During parent-child classes, children remain under the supervision of the accompanying adult.
La Crème des Bordelaises holds professional liability insurance.
11. Photos and videos
Creations made during the workshop may be photographed and used in La Crème des Bordelaises' communications. Photos or videos in which participants can be recognized are only taken and published with their consent (a parent's consent for a child). This consent can be withdrawn at any time by email.
12. Personal information
The information provided is used only to prepare the quote, organize the service and follow up on it. It is never sold or transferred. To learn more, see the privacy policy.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec. They in no way limit the rights that the Consumer Protection Act grants to consumer clients. If any clause were found invalid, the others would remain in effect.
